  Open a photo to put in the grid.

  Select - All then Edit - Copy

  Use move tool to click on the square, then control-click on the layer thumbnail.

  Edit menu - Paste Into

  Click and drag to reposition photo. Control - T to resize the photo.

  To color the border, click on the Grid Border layer and control click the layer thumbnail.

  Change the foreground color and then fill the border with the paint bucket.

  Add a Stroke Layer style to widen the border.
