Looks like you do not have the free java 1.5 (or later) plugin for your browser. Java is a plugin which lets you do alot of cool things right from your browser... You should get it so you can create and view screencasts:

    • 0:00Hey David. Here is a quick tutorial on how to render out an image in maya.
    • 0:05First find the angle you want to render from.
    • 0:11then Click on the little "movie clapper" Icon in the menu.
    • 0:15When you click it it will bring up a separate window. This is your "render View"
    • 0:23After a few seconds the render is complete.
    • 0:28(resizing the render view window so you can see it better.)
    • 0:41Now go to "file" then "save image"
    • 0:44The default location will be the "images" folder of the maya project you are working on.
    • 0:55Change the file format to the type you prefer, in this case JPEG is probably best. Enter the name you want for the file and hit save.
