Notes
- To participate in the online class you will need to check your computer to make sure you have all the necessary software to participate in the class. First and foremost you will need a pair of headphones or speakers that are connected to your computer. You may also use a microphone to communicate with the instructor, but that is not required. We will have someone monitoring any questions you may have via the classroom chat. Next, you will need to enter the Blackboard course by clicking on the class name Health Sciences Resources found under the My Courses heading within Blackboard. Once you are in the course you will need to click on the link on the left hand side of the page titled Communication. From the Communication screen click onto Wimba Classroom. This will take you to a page titled List of Rooms and Archives and you will see a one room present titled Live Meeting Space. You will need to click on the blue arrow pointing upwards under the Enter heading to enter the classroom. You should now see a pop-up box that says Is your computer ready? and a button titled Run Wizard. If this is your first time using the Wimba Live classroom you will need to run the wizard to make sure you have all the necessary software to fully experience the online class. This set up should only take a few minutes. After you have run the wizard you will enter the classroom. You will only need to run the wizard once to make sure you have the required software so that the day of the class you will only need to click on the link titled If you have completed the wizard previously, click here to enter found under the Run Wizard button.
